Ashley Potter
Scholarship Program Manager
“Not one of my 15 years has been the same as the previous one. There is always room for positive growth and change while remaining true to the original vision of our programs.”
Since joining The Ford Family Foundation in 2007, Ashley Potter has been connected to the educational journeys of thousands of students in Oregon and Siskiyou County, California. She hears Scholars’ stories and sees the way education changes their lives. As scholarship programs manager, Ashley ensures that the programs run fairly and consistently so that students have the support they need to be successful in their schooling and beyond.
Ashley also plays a key role in informing Foundation decision-making around its signature scholarship programs. Her deep knowledge of program data and policies provides historical context. “We are always making updates in the background to provide the best scholarship programs that we can,” Ashley says.
Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Ashley came to Oregon to attend Reed College, where she earned a degree in economics. She joined the Foundation fresh from her graduation, already equipped with work experiences in student services.
